  • Easy to do - no product to sell
  • Customers get a receipt for tax purposes for donating to a 501(c)(3) organization
  • Students get credit in their account for the amount of the donation to the Boosters
  • On going throughout the year

Step 1 - Customize the fundraising letter about you and your activities in band - General Letter, Student Written letter

Step 2 - Mail the letter to family and friends

Step 3 - Letter is returned (with or without donation) to student.

Step 4 - Prepare a HANDWRITTEN THANK YOU NOTE. Insert the donation check. Address the thank you note to donor. Stamp the note. DO NOT SEAL THE ENVELOPE.

Step 5 - Place the addressed thank you note and donation in the booster mailbox in the band hall

Step 6 - A receipt will be made and put in your letter before mailing. A copy of receipt with your name will be given to the Treasurer to credit to the student account. 


DO NOT WRITE A STUDENT NAME ON THE CHECK - IT MUST BE MADE OUT TO BAND BOOSTERS, to be donated properly.
