Aggie Flags
Aggie Flags are the single biggest fund raiser for the Tiger Band. Last year, we sold almost 1400 flags in the College Station area. Each flag subscription can be purchased for $40. The flags are then delivered on Aggie Home Game Day (this year will have 7 home games), and picked up later that afternoon. The students receive a portion of the sale directly to their account, and can earn additional money each week by delivering the flags on their route.

For each flag the student sells at $40, $8.50 goes into their account. An additional $1.64 can be earned per flag each time they put one out on game day. The remainder of the funds goes to the flag company and into scholarship funds for graduating seniors.

Suppose your student sold 20 flags. Your student would earn $170 for their account.
If your family adopted a permanent delivery route with an average of 40 flags, your student would earn additional $65.60 per game.
At the end of the season, your child could have $459.20 in their account for just delivering flags seven times!!! With the sales, that's $609 in their account to cover trips, assessment fees, and band camp.

How many addresses (or flags) to a route?
A: 30-50 flags per route
Where and when are flags picked up to be delivered before home games?
A: For the first home game, flags will be picked up at the high school parking lot at 6:30 am. The flags will then be stored at the home of the student with the permanent route. Substitutes will pick up the flags at the home of the student who has the permanent route.
When must they be collected and returned?
A: Flags should be placed at the customers' home or business by 9:00 am on the day of the Aggie Home Game (see calendar above). Flags should be removed and returned to the student's home before dark the same day.
What kind of account credit do students get for taking a route(s)?
A: The students get a credit of $1.64 per flag they place. They get $8.50 account credit for each flag subscription they sell.
Does a student actually have to sell a flag(s) to take a route?
A: No. However, once they get a route, they can sell flags to the homes on the routes, hence increasing the number of flags they can deliver.
When can students sign up for a permanent route?
A: Routes are still evolving. The Flag company will redistribute the number of flags and possibly change existing routes and inform us of the changes. We will then post the list in the band hall for the students to sign up. We will send an email to let you know when this will be.
Can we sell flags to people who live outside College Station?
A. Yes, but we only have delivery routes inside College Station. If someone lives in Bryan, you can sell them a flag and the Bryan Band will make the delivery.
