The Tiger Band at AMCHS welcomes all of the incoming freshman and invite you to attend two very special events in May.

1. Tuesday, May 8, 7:00 - 8:00 pm - Band Hall at AMCHS - Booster Meeting.
We invite all incoming freshman parents to our Booster Meeting.  You will receive a Freshman Handbook with important information regarding practice schedules, supplies and marching practice routines. We will also have information on ways for parents to get involved in the support of the band program.  We will be introducing our new Executive Board for the 2012-13 school year as well.  Come meet other band parents and directors!

2. Tuesday, May 22, 6:00 pm - Auditorium at AMCHS - Spring Show
Bring your incoming freshman band student to our Spring Show, featuring the bands of AMCHS.  They have planned an entertaining program and welcome for the students. It is sure to fire them up for summer band!
See you there!

The bands of CSISD performed at the 2012 UIL Concert and Sightreading Contest at Rudder High School on Friday, April 13th.

Both the high school Wind Ensemble, under the direction of Mr. Van Henry, and Symphonic Band, directed by Mr. Pieter DuPlooy, received "superior" ratings from all of the judges, earning sweepstakes for the 2011-2012 school year. The Concert Band also performed their program very well, receiving positive comments from judges in both the concert and sightreading rooms.

The varsity groups A&M Consolidated Middle School, directed by Mr. Michael Dixon, and both varsity and non-varsity groups at College Station Middle School, under the direction of Mr. Greg Montgomery assisted Mr. Clifton Jones, also earned "superior" ratings at the contest.

The directors, staff, parents, and supporters of the College Station ISD band programs would like to express our appreciation and gratitude to the students for their hard work and dedication.

The band council needs your help to be ready for banquet.

They are wanting to borrow small, clear (white) strings of christmas lights (not LED).  If you are willing to let them borrow, please send them to the band hall marked with your name on a piece of tape by May 1.  They can be placed in the designated box, and will be returned after May 19.  THANK YOU!
